FEATURED NEWS

Traveling by TGV is a delightful way to visit landmarks!

Paris hosted the Olympic Games last summer. Many savvy travelers stayed in our sister city Vendôme and commuted to the games via train since it is only 40 minutes away.

About Vendôme

Vendôme is a commune in the Centre region of France. Vendôme is the capital of the arrondissement of Vendôme in the Loir-et-Cher department, of which it is a sub-prefecture. Chateau de Chambord, pictured above, is the largest castle in the Loire Valley. It is a MUST SEE on your visit. It has a tribunal of first instance. Vendôme is located 22 miles (35 km) northwest of the city of Blois and 40 minutes from Paris by TGV train. The town lies on the Loir River, which here divides into numerous arms intersecting the town.

An Invitation from the Chairperson
Lucienne Maneng

I am eager to share my enthusiasm for language, culture, and community engagement through planning activities, hosting visitors, exploring business opportunities, and traveling to our sister cities. These endeavors demand significant effort from a dedicated team of volunteers, and that's where you come in!

If you have a passion for the culture, history, or people of France, we warmly invite you to join Sister Cities of Hampton and lend your support to the Vendôme Coordinating Committee.
